Student visa
The U.S. student visa is a non-immigrant visa that allows foreign nationals to pursue education in the United States.
The two primary types of U.S. student visas are the F visa and the M visa, each designed for different types of educational programs.
F Student Visa:
1- F-1 Visa: This is the most common type of U.S. student visa and is issued to individuals who wish to pursue academic studies or English language programs at a U.S. university or college. The F-1 visa is for full-time students enrolled in an academic or language training program.
2- F-2 Visa: This visa is for dependents of F-1 visa holders, including spouses and unmarried children under the age of 21. F-2 dependents can accompany the F-1 student to the U.S. but are not eligible for employment.
M Student Visa:
1- M-1 Visa: The M-1 visa is for students enrolling in vocational or non-academic programs, such as technical or vocational schools. M-1 visa holders are generally not allowed to work during their studies and are expected to return to their home countries upon completion of the program.
2- M-2 Visa: Similar to the F-2 visa, the M-2 visa is for dependents (spouses and unmarried children under 21) of M-1 visa holders. M-2 dependents are not eligible for employment.
